Davis Tennis Academy Junior Programs
Future Stars (Ages 6 & Under)
Future Stars is a program for younger children to develop gross motor skills and athleticism through the sport of tennis in a fun, yet structured environment. Your child will learn teamwork and how to cooperate and succeed in a small group dynamic.
Beginner, Advanced Beginner and Intermediate Group Clinic (Ages 6-12)
Our beginner program is the core introduction to Tennis. Players build all of the primary skills needed to develop into a successful tennis player, while at the same time being educated on etiquette, equipment, and general tennis knowledge.
Our lessons incorporate plyometric and warm-up training. Each class has a structured lesson plan and goal to be achieved. Point-play is used after each technical instruction to reinforce the newly learned skill. Our Beginner curriculum includes many fun & challenging games that teach and reinforce skills, and make our players aware that they are learning and progressing.
Our goal is for beginner players to gain confidence and knowledge for them to move onto our intermediate programs with a strong base of tennis skills and knowledge.
Junior Advanced Clinic (Ages 11-17)
Intermediate focuses on two main areas- perfecting the shots and techniques that a player has shown aptitude for in previous levels, and challenging each player to improve on shots and techniques that do not come as easily. The end result is a player who understands how to set up a point to increase his or her chances of success, and has many options available to him or her to swing the point back in their favor.
